Project Generosity is an effort to generate material and financial support for others who are in great need locally and around the world.
During September we are partnering with World Vision. World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. We serve close to 100 million people in nearly 100 countries around the world. World Vision serves all people, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender.
Devonshire would like to encourage you to partner with World Vision through one of these three ways:
Opportunity #1: Child Sponsorship — As a child sponsor, you are connected with one special child who will know your name, write to you and feel your tender love and prayers. Your child sponsorship monthly pledge of around $30 will provide a child with things such as: Clean Water, Nutritious Food, Health Care, Educational Opportunities, Spiritual Nurture.
Opportunity #2: Team World Vision & Clean Water Fund for Africa — On Sunday, September 27, join a team of 7 individuals from Devonshire who will run in the Baltimore Running Festival as Devonshire’s Team World Vision and give a special offering to raise funds to provide clean water wells to villages in Africa. Opportunity #3: World Vision Experience: AIDS — During the week of November 15-22, you have the opportunity to participate in the World Vision Experience. The World Vision Experience is an interactive exhibit that combines stirring audio and captivating photography, transporting you to the heart of Africa. You'll see, hear, and experience stories of tragedy and triumph lived out by real children in AIDS-affected communities.
