An Opportunity to Give Encouragement to Others
If you have ever been hospitalized or watched the hours tick by in the hospital waiting room while a loved one received medical care, you understand the feeling of isolation and even fear such an experience can bring. Those can be lonely hours and difficult times, both physically and spiritually. The Spiritual Care Ministry Team would like to insure that those who are hospitalized or are supporting someone in a hospital setting receive the ministry of comfort from a fellow believer. Just as Christ offered comfort, hope and healing, He calls His followers today to care for those who are sick. Everyone benefits from a comforting word or touch when health is a concern.
If God is tugging at your heart to minister to individuals in a hospital setting, then we encourage you to join Devonshire’s Hospital Visitation Team. Pastor Todd and Denny Keen will provide initial training and coach you through the ministry of hospital visitation using curriculum from the Stephen’s Ministry program. You will become a confident member of a compassionate group of individuals who have answered the call to care for others at the moment of their greatest need.
