During the month of December, our children are learning about the virtue of "Generosity - Making someone's day by giving something away." Scripture tells us to "be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share." (1 Timothy 6:18) One of the ways we want to help our children and families grow in generosity is by asking them to take an active role in showing gratitude for all God has given them by giving to others through what we are calling PROJECT GENEROSITY.

PROJECT GENEROSITY is what we are calling our effort to help provide some much needed items to individuals and organizations in our community. Through partnering with three local organizations we have three opportunities that we are excited to work towards caring for families and individuals in need during this month.

Opportunity #1:

The first opportunity is through the Bethesda Mission and is the one that our Children’s Ministry will be focusing on. Bethesda Mission is a Christian Rescue Mission and its mission is to reach out a helping hand to the men and women of the streets for the purpose of "Introducing them to the Gospel of Jesus Christ," and providing them with food, shelter, clothing, fellowship and Christian counseling.

This opportunity in partnership with Bethesda is to help them provide bags full of food necessary for 300 families to enjoy a Christmas Dinner this year. The goal that we have in this project this year is to provide 300 cans of peas.

Drop Off: Cans of peas can be dropped off anytime between now and December 17 and placed in the designated bin in the narthex or downstairs on the fellowship hall stage.

Deadline: December 17th

Opportunity #2:

The second project is a great project for a Small Group/Sunday School Class. This opportunity is through Pinnacle Health. Through the care and services that Pinnacle Health provides they become aware of needs in the community. Many families who find themselves facing health and physical difficulties are under financial pressures and may have other special needs. Our desire is to partner with Pinnacle and take advantage of the opportunity to provide for and minister to these families by meeting some of their practical needs and providing some Christmas gifts during this season.

Deadline: We need to know of your interest in participating in this project by December 7th.

**If your group would like to put together gifts for these families during this season, please contact the church office for more information .

Opportunity #3:

The third opportunity is through our partnership with Morning Star Pregnancy Services. Morning Star provides counseling to expectant mothers and also provides practical needs to help care for babies.
